Late last year, Samsung finally made One UI 7 available in beta for the Galaxy S24 series after a long wait. Samsung has previously issued two betas, starting with the U.S., and today, January 5, it began releasing the third beta in a number of locations.
The Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra have all begun receiving new One UI 7 beta 3 upgrades based on Android 15 in a number of regions, starting with Germany. Users in India and Poland can also access these updates. The latter two nations, however, are receiving the same update as beta 2, although the other nations, including the United States, have already received two betas. This is the third major beta update.
No matter the country, firmware updates always finish with “ZXLJ” build numbers, and the changelog for all three Galaxy S24 series is essentially the same.
The update has numerous bug fixes in addition to lots of enhancements, according to the changelog. A few improvements are available in Game Booster mode, including the option to modify the default screen playback setting, the name and maximum value of the FPS parameter, and the default scanning rate to 120 Hz.
A “Modify Exception” is also added to Samsung Messages when an MMS image is saved. A vertical app drawer was added in One UI 7, and the latest firmware upgrade is probably going to improve the scrolling experience. The most recent update will also appear to improve quick panel closing functionality.
The lock screen, always-on display, and status bar battery icon (redesigned with One UI 7) are the noteworthy fixes. The volume key operation error problem when utilizing Routine+ mode is another noteworthy issue that should be resolved with the next release. It appears that the edge panel tools that were previously hidden have been fixed.
Additionally, One UI 7’s third beta is a large one with at least 1.2GB and a January security patch. Naturally, the most recent upgrade is available to Galaxy S24 series owners who are signed up for the One UI 7 beta program. Waiting for the stable release, which is anticipated to follow the debut of the Galaxy S25 series later this month, is the best way to experience these features if you haven’t joined yet.
