Undelivered love letters, email blunders, miscommunications, and frazzled travel plans, and we learn a bit about Mercury Retrograde. What is Mercury retrograde? An astronomical event from May 29 to June 22 that says it’s a time when we feel less energy, more anxiety, we feel more lethargic. Fatigue and the effects can fill us with a feeling of restlessness and unfocused mindset, not to mention electronics that go bonkers too.
We can also reflect on the present, move forward from the past, or listen to Anjalts fourth single ‘Somewhere in the Sky.’ Streaming through the airwaves reminding us to stay strong when letting go of the very thing you can’t seem to bring yourself to let go of in the first place. It could be anything from lost love to a best friend to a pet that is gone, over, bye-bye. It’s not coming back. (Ok, why did I just think of that movie ‘Pet Sematary’?) Well, back to my thoughts on this intriguing artist, Anjalts. Taking it right to the beginning of her most chill-vibe song, ‘Somewhere in the Sky’ that starts with a mystery rapper (yes, I am curious too!), ‘here we go’…
So, as we navigate these confusing times of chaotic miscommunications, sometimes, I wonder what keeps us believing in that kind of lost cause gone sour? Or maybe it’s the positions of the stars that make me sit on a hill wearing a cardigan as the sunsets west looking ‘Somewhere in the Sky’ and listening to Anjalts sultry vocals that feel like ear candy soothing the noises in my brain to her stimulating melodies. A brilliant songwriter seems to redefine and create complex compositions then make them into a simple melodic song. For me, that is another way of identifying a genius. A reclusive one at that because I only wish she had more videos of her performing beside the visually pleasing lyric videos she has out on her YouTube channel HERE. Although, her camp at IXOmusic says more is coming. It is a small indie label, and budgets for music videos can cost a lot.
This artist is still kicking some a$$ with some lyric videos. She writes, produces and plays everything on her album, some of her songs already ranked in Spotify top 10k artist in the world. And, as if that wasn’t enough, she is an expert digital tech-savvy coder online creating her own NFT’s and one of the first artists to do an NFT Giveaway to her fans she adoringly calls her Stars. And, as if that wasn’t enough, the girl was already a professional visual artist with considerable skills on large canvas paintings and collections already sold worldwide at art exhibitions. She is redefining for me a true all-around artist of incredible potential and elegance in many art forms.
With her one-name moniker Anjalts, this Star-light girl loves her boots and carries on the aspiration of many great women artists, producers, songwriters, and eco-friendly environmentalists. She wears her own retro street style with a certain elegance and prefers to cover up by choice. Her songs are not explicit, and she has the confidence to shift the spotlight to causes she is fighting for every day. The deliberate fires in the Amazon Rainforest create more carbon in our atmosphere, to the coral reefs in our oceans destroyed by plastic pollution and overfishing. Every facet of this multi-dimensional talented artist surprises me because of how much she believes in her artistry and delivers that eco-friendly message right to the core. A sincere clarity to be appreciated, especially in today’s reality.
Then, of course, we have MercuryRetrograde that may be seeping into our energy field and creating all kinds of fatigue, confusions especially with the things we generally tend to accept in our lives mentally. And, sometimes, we get an alternative glimpse or reminder of watching something different, as if it came through a time portal of greatness. Like a breath of fresh air from ’Somewhere in the Sky’. Or maybe we might not even see it from May 29 to June 22 because that’s the timeframe when Mercury retrograde is at its highest.
So, now we are all in the know, just find your most chill playlist, take a deep breath, close your eyes and relax because all this will pass by June 22, and for now, we have an ultra-fine time travelers’ perspective when we remember to look “Somewhere in the Sky.’
