Anna Scolaro, a lifestyle guru, world traveller , vegan foodie and mother of three daughters talks to us about the mid-life transition.
I have seen this transition yess!! She says having lived in so many parts of the world!! It’s fast and it’s frightening. Men are beginning to show carbonated stomachs if they stop working out , hair changes , skin changes occur and most importantly they start to think about their valuable time.
The most valuable currency . Some begin to stray , act confused and are ready to make changes . I guess this is a man’s menopause. Many do succeed. They see life’s qualities and venture accordingly taking life’s breath into their own hands. The weaker of course will opt for new partners and a total reset but realistically it’s a continuation of where they have just left off funnily enough. It’s a wheel that doesn’t stop.

They jump on it and keep on going but it leads to exactly where they began! A common example; eastern block girl who knows what she needs will concentrate on becoming a mother at a flick of a light switch so she has her bread and butter for the next 18 years , carbonated stomachs or not haha but the man has simply increased the problems he left behind and is now left with even more ; therefore has not made smart use of his time.
Women, on the other hand are more calculating and wise. They can either take one of two paths. They continue the role of supermom and a girl’s best friend and in between keep some sanity for herself or you take the other path where you realise that the most valuable time is YOUR time!!
The majority of us live in a scheduled bubble where you may play Padel on a Monday and shop on a Tuesday and then dine in the same restaurant on a Friday but the matter here is that this majority no longer want change because they’re too attached to who they’ve been.
Anna knows that a minority exists that see the doorway but the problem is that they are trying to fit themselves and everything through it but we need to remember that we are not 999 or 911.. you need to rescue “YOU” first. Think for a moment the stage of life you are in and embrace it. Then YOU can go walk through that door and rescue those you left behind.
I’m life what counts are the little things. Things we cannot buy but will always remember.
Just what a best friend mentioned to me the other day; “we are but petals floating in the wind”
