On Wednesday, the head priest of a temple in Ayodhya threatened to “burn alive” the actor and the operators of the web channels where the song from the Shah Rukh Khan film Pathaan is available.
Khan and his movie “Pathaan” are receiving criticism for depicting Deepika Padukone in the song “Besharam Rang” wearing a saffron bikini. A community allegedly felt insulted by the song’s content, according to protests held around the nation.
Minister for Madhya Pradesh Narrottam Mishra and spokesman for the Vishva Hindu Parishad Vinod Bansal are among those who have called for the film to be banned. A ban on the movie has also been requested by the Madhya Pradesh Ulema Board because it “misrepresents Islam.”
The Bollywood megastar stated last week that people like him would remain optimistic no matter what happened to them in the midst of the issue. He criticised social media for frequently being fueled by certain narrow viewpoints, calling it “divisive and destructive.”
