“America’s Best Restaurants,” a social media and YouTube series, is set to highlight a Chicago restaurant that often ranks highly on burger rankings.
According to an announcement on Friday, the show will visit Kuma’s Corner, a burger place with a heavy metal motif, on December 6. The show will only be available on the show’s social media channels at a later time, and it will feature an on-air interview with the owner, Ron Cain, according to the statement.
“The restaurant has a heavy metal rock group theme, with burgers named after bands that have collaborated on their namesake sandwiches, similarly themed artwork and photos on the walls, and a headbanging soundtrack playing in the background,” the press release stated.
According to the press release, Cain’s personal favourite burger is the Led Zeppelin, which has a patty topped with pickles, bacon, cheddar cheese, and pulled pork.
In the press announcement, Cain stated, “We have attitude; we have fun.” We are essentially a Chicago icon. Good food, a strong sense of community, and fun times.
There are four restaurants in the Chicago region and one in Indianapolis owned by the restaurant. According to the statement, the restaurant’s original Avondale site was a fine dining establishment.
The popular “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” host Guy Fieri declared Kuma’s Corner to be his favourite Illinois restaurant in 2022.
