Snack services on select flights will be significantly altered by United Airlines.
According to a representative for the Chicago-based airline, passengers on some United flights will soon have access to an Economy “Grab-N-Go” station that provides free water and snacks after main cabin service.
Limited supplies of snacks, such as That’s It fruit bars, Undercover Chocolate Quinoa Crisps, and Savoury Snack mix, are available at the Grab-N-Go station. First-come, first-served policy applies.
According to the spokesperson, items also differ according to flying distance.
Snack station service made its debut on a Nov. 30 trip from Houston to Chicago, and it will be limited to United’s new A321neo fleet. According to the representative, it will only be available to customers who are travelling 801 miles or more.
The spokesperson claims that every seat has an in-flight entertainment screen and that the new fleet of aircraft has greater room for overhead bins.
United Airlines has made a number of modifications recently, the newest of which is the new snack station. The airline stated in October that it would be altering its boarding procedure, which it says will result in a two-minute time savings. Additionally, the airline stated earlier in the year that by 2025, certain aircraft would carry the new “Astrova” in-flight entertainment systems.
