Detours in a young person’s life can lead to road blocks and unplanned exits that result in difficult challenges and unfulfilled dreams. But they also can lead to opportunity, and even a rewarding road to “enrichment.”
Lance A. Slatton never looked at having to take care of his elderly father as a detour, even if it was a factor in his decision to skip medical school and take another path because he knew in his heart that taking care of his father would lead to taking care of others – and that has always been his ultimate goal.
Slatton has been a Senior Case Manager and Certified Senior Care Manager for the past 12 years at the prestigious Enriched Life Home Care Services (ELHCS) in Livonia, Mich., which provides high quality home care services specializing in seniors. ELHCS has been named the No. 1 home care company in Michigan for six consecutive years.
Slatton’s duties and accomplishments at ELHCS have been extremely rewarding, and while most would be satisfied in that role alone, his continued desire and passion to help people in the senior care living space led him down another road – one he paved himself with a unique vision, passion and skill set.
With ingenuity and fortitude, Slatton launched All Home Care Matters in 2020. As director, producer and host, Slatton wanted to create a platform where experts in their field could discuss the very important issues, challenges, successes and reality of senior care and long-term care for not only health care professionals and agencies, but also families and individuals.

The success of All Home Care Matters has been nothing short of amazing – unless, of course, you know Slatton, who currently has more than 122,000 YouTube subscribers, 65,000 daily podcast downloads and expanded the channel’s content into numerous programs and podcasts. The show was a 2023 29th annual AIVA Communicator Award Recipient (Academy of Interactive Visual Arts) and recipient of the Silver Creator Award from Google & YouTube in 2023 – given out to 0.5% of the over 80 million YouTube channels.
“From childhood and into my early years in adulthood, my focus has always been healthcare and finding ways to help others,” said Slatton, winner of the 2023, ’50 under 50’ award, issued by the NYC Journal. “And while medical school didn’t happen due to my experience with my father, something even more important presented itself and that was discovering how I could help others who had to provide care for their loved ones.”
In March, 2024, Slatton added “author” to his resume when his book, “The All Home Care Matters Official Family Caregivers’ Guide,” was published by Ebookit.com.

“I wanted to walk a family through their caregiving journey from start to finish and help them navigate the many challenges that come with providing care for a loved one,” he says. “With over 20 years in the business and through my own time as a caregiver for a loved one, I wanted to share my experiences by offering not only tips and guidelines but what they can expect on a daily basis and what’s coming around the corner they might not expect. And because every case is different, we also provide numerous resources for people to use that best fit their situation as it pertains to caregiving.”
While the numbers for his AHCM programs continue to climb, Slatton’s voice, influence and impact in the senior care living community also are on the rise. As a visionary and inspiration who has helped countless families and providers, oftentimes during the most stressful and challenging circumstances, Slatton is helping to revolutionize the caregiving and senior care space.
Lori La Bey, one of the most respected and well-known voices in Alzheimer’s care and founder of Alzheimer’s Speaks and co-founder of Dementia Map, jumped at the chance to co-produce the show, “Conscious Caregiving with L & L,” with Slatton in 2023. “It’s an honor to work side by side with Lance, who is an excellent communicator, visionary and consummate professional,” she said. “He has personally cared for elderly loved ones, in addition to his professional work as a Certified Senior Case Manager. Both have given him the in-the-trenches insights into the everyday needs and best practices to live well as we age and care for others. How lucky am I to be working with him!”
Trust is very important when it comes to long-term care and dealing with families in trying times, and like in most cases, trust is earned.
Slatton was trusted with taking over and managing the Dementia TLC from founder Leah Waller, who through years created a verified source of tips, information, resources, and support for families and their loved ones facing dementia.
Waller wanted her goals and vision of Dementia TLC in capable and trusted hands.
“I am in awe and absolutely inspired by the great work that Lance and All Home Care Matters does, and so when I was thinking about someone to take over the reins at Dementia TLC, they were the first (and only) option to pop into my head,” said Waller.
In early 2024, All Home Care Matters and Home Care Today, a free time-saving solution for gaining insights into existing home care agency operations and understanding the industry as an aspiring owner, formed a partnership that will create a strategic alliance built on shared values, expertise, and a mutual dedication to advancing the home care industry. Home Care Today Founder Dan Bofoya praised Slatton and his amazing team. “Lance Slatton and the All Home Care Matters team have built an exceptional platform that has become synonymous with expertise, reliability, and trust in the industry,” he said. “Their commitment to delivering invaluable assistance to families and caregivers aligns perfectly with our mission to streamline insights and elevate home care operations.”
With over 20 years of experience, Slatton, CSCM, is a seasoned professional in the healthcare industry and an award-winning visionary. His wealth of knowledge and experience, along with his innovative approach to providing care, have made him an indispensable asset in the healthcare field.
