The November album “GNX” by Kendrick Lamar has become the No. 1 album in the US for the third non-consecutive week. Due to an exceptionally close finish between the top three albums, the Billboard 200 results were released more than 24 hours later than expected: With 90,500 sales, Kendrick Lamar’s “GNX” returned to the top of the charts. Drake and PartyNextDoor’s “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U” came in second with 90,000 units, and Tate McRae’s “So Close To What” came in third with 87,000 units.
The Billboard 200 sees Kendrick Lamar’s GNX return to the top spot for the third nonconsecutive week. With 90,500 equivalent album units sold in the United States in the week ending March 6 (a 15% decrease), the set climbs 3-1 (on the chart dated March 15). Meanwhile, Alter Ego, LISA’s first full-length studio album, debuts at No. 7, making them the only debut in the top 10. After ROSÉ, she becomes the second member of the number-one group BLACKPINK to achieve a solo top 10 performance.
Drake’s 14th chart-topping album and PartyNextDoor’s first, “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U,” debuted at No. 1 in February. “So Close To What,” a song by fellow Canadian musician McRae, which launched with the largest opening numbers for a female artist this year, eventually supplanted Lamar’s “GNX” at the top.
“GNX” has 103 million streams this week, demonstrating its continued popularity on streaming services. Additionally, 16,500 out of 95,000 were recorded as digital and physical sales. The tracks “Not Like Us” and “TV Off,” which are at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively, and “Luther,” which he co-wrote with SZA, are also at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.
“Alter Ego,” Lisa’s first full-length studio album, debuted at No. 7 with 45,500 units sold, making it the sole new release in the Top 10 of the albums chart. With 28,000 copies sold, it is this week’s best-selling album. With an estimated 23 million streams in its first full week, it had a less significant impact on streaming.
Future, Raye, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla, and Rosalía all contributed guest verses to the set. Lisa also sang a tribute to the music of the James Bond film series at the Academy Awards with Raye and Doja Cat.

In the most recent tracking week, GNX earned 90,500 equivalent album units, of which 73,000 were SEA units (down 15%, or 103.14 million on-demand official streams; it ranks third on Top Streaming Albums), 16,500 were album sales (down 13%; it is a non-mover at No. 2 on Top Album Sales), and 1,000 were TEA units (down 18%).
Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s No. 1 single, “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U,” is currently at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 90,000 equivalent album units sold, a 24% decrease. It is also at No. 1 on the Top Streaming Albums for a third week.
After debuting at the top of the chart a week ago, Tate McRae’s “So Close To What” drops to No. 3 with 87,000 equivalent album units (down 51%).
SZA’s SOS, which is at No. 4 (74,000 equivalent album units; down 10%), Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, which is at No. 5 (64,000; down 16%), and Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which is at No. 6 (56,000; down 11%), are all past chart-toppers and non-movers.
Alter Ego, LISA’s first full-length studio album, debuts at No. 7 with 45,500 equivalent album units earned, giving her the week’s best debut. In a tribute to the soundtrack of the James Bond film series, LISA sang Wings’ “Live and Let Die” at the Academy Awards on March 2, the week of the album’s release. In the third season of HBO’s The White Lotus, which debuted on February 16, she made her acting debut.
The album’s three charting singles, “Rockstar” (which peaked at No. 70 in July 2024), “New Woman” (which featured Rosalía and peaked at No. 97 in August), and “Born Again” (which featured Doja Cat and RAYE and peaked at No. 68 in February), came before Alter Ego on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The Billboard 200-topping quartet BLACKPINK, of which LISA is a member, saw their last album, BORN PINK, debut at the top of the chart on October 1, 2022, following the success of their first top 10 album, The Album (No. 2, 2020). Last but not least, Morgan Wallen’s chart-topping One Thing at a Time remains steady at No. 9 (42,000; up 2%) and The Weeknd’s former top single Hurry Up Tomorrow drops 7-10 (40,000; down 19%), while Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess is a non-mover at No. 8 (43,000 equivalent album units earned; down 8%).
