In a blog post, actor Amitabh Bachchan discusses the history of Holi celebrations and how they have evolved.
On the occasion of Holi, Amitabh Bachchan is experiencing nostalgia. The actor, who recently got injured on the sets of Project K, has been asked to rest and he is feeling left out. On his blog post, Amitabh also talked about the the old Bachchan family Holi parties and how the times will never come back.
The actor posted on his blog that he was “lounging in the surroundings of the home and the prevention from all types of physical activity.. the inability to engage in the celebrations of the day.”
The actor wrote about Holika Dahan earlier on Tuesday at home. There was a date mix-up on the day of HOLI, therefore the ‘holika’ was lighted yesterday night in Jalsa. It is now finished. Due to the misunderstanding caused by HOLI being observed today and tomorrow, a lot of things that could have been done were not. I recharge and rest. But you have my best wishes as we celebrate this wonderful festival: “May the colours of HOLI bring the many shades of life into your life.”
Bachchan claimed to have a torn muscle and broken rib cartilage. He described the injury as “painful,” and before taking a flight back to Mumbai, he saw a doctor. The doctor urged him to relax. Fans who frequently assemble outside the actor’s Mumbai house were informed that he will be unable to meet them at Jalsa Gate this evening. Everything else is fine, he wrote.
