ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” has risen to No. 4 on the most recent, Jan. 25-dated ranking, making it the only song by a well-known K-pop (Korean pop) act to reach the top of Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart.
BTS’ “Dynamite,” which peaked at No. 5 on the radio ranking in December 2020 and is still the only K-pop group to have a top-five hit, is surpassed by the song.
ROSÉ’s first Pop Airplay chart entry as a solo artist is “APT.” She has charted two songs with the popular K-pop quartet BLACKPINK, which peaked at No. 21.
Luminate provided information to Billboard, andate, the Pop Airplay chart ranks songs according to weekly airplay on more than 150 mainstream top 40 radio stations tracked by Mediabase.
PSY’s “Gangnam Style” in 2021 was the first of five K-pop songs to reach the Pop Airplay Top 10. The only songs like that that are billed to solo artists are “APT.” and that viral hit. Here’s a summary:

A reporter for the Pop Airplay chart, KMVQ (99.7 Now) San Francisco had more than 1,400 plays for “APT.” since the single’s October 18 release, more than any other panelist. KIIS (102.7 KIIS-FM) New York, WHTZ (Z100) The song has also received significant exposure from Los Angeles, SiriusXM’s Hits 1, and TikTok Radio.
At the same time, ROSÉ’s “Toxic Till the End” makes its Pop Airplay debut at No. 40, with 50% more plays per week; “APT.” saw a 17% increase.
ROSÉ’s debut single outside of BLACKPINK, “APT.” from her album Rosie (together with “Toxic Till the End”), has dominated the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts for 11 weeks each. The song remains at its highest position of No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, making ROSÉ the first female K-pop singer to reach the top five.
