Based only on traditional album sales, Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart lists the best-selling albums of the week. The chart’s history began on May 25, 1991, the first week that Billboard started using electronically monitored piece count data from SoundScan (now Luminate) to tabulate charts. Up until the list dated December 6, 2014, the Billboard 200 albums chart used just pure album sales as its measurement. After that, the chart used a methodology that combines album sales with track equivalent album (TEA) and streaming equivalent album (SEA) units.
After making its No. 1 debut a week earlier, ENHYPEN’s DESIRE: UNLEASH drops to No. 2 on the Top Album Sales list (27,000), a 71% decrease. With King of Hearts dropping to No. 3 (20,000), Brandon Lake records his first top 10 and highest sales week ever.
After its deluxe edition in several forms with bonus content, Metallica’s 1996 single “Load” re-enters the chart at No. 4 with 12,000 sold (up 6,925%). (For tracking and charting purposes, all album versions—old and new—are pooled.) Load spent four weeks in a row at the top of the chart after debuting at number one on the chart dated June 22, 1996.
Phantom Island opens at No. 5 with around 11,000 copies sold, while King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard achieves its highest charting album ever on Top Album Sales and fifth place in the top 10. Infest the Rats’ Nest from 2019 and Flight B741 from 2024 were the band’s two prior No. 7 hits.
Morgan Wallen’s former No. 1 album, I’m the Problem, rises 9-7 (9,000; down 12%), while SEVENTEEN’s chart-topping album, “HAPPY BURSTDAY,” is a non-mover at No. 6 (almost 10,000; down 32%).
Order Chaos Order, Calum Hood’s first solo album, sells 8,000 copies in its first week and debuts at No. 8.

With little over 7,000 copies sold, iTZY’s Girls Will Be Girls debuts at No. 10, rounding out the top 10 of the most recent Top Album Sales chart. This is the group’s seventh straight top 10.
