The lead single “Swim” from BTS’s record-breaking comeback album ARIRANG makes a huge impression on YouTube weekly charts.
With 11 songs affecting the top 100, including the top spot with “Swim,” which received over 83 million views worldwide, the K-pop stars smash the streaming behemoth’s Global Top Songs chart.
One of five BTS numbers, the song also tops the U.S. Top Songs chart for the week ending March 31. Over 6.2 million United States watched “Swim” during the cycle, nearly two million more than the next-best, “Golden” from Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters, which was the first K-pop song to win the Oscar for best original song.
YouTube’s charts are being impacted by more than just the new ARIRANG cutbacks. The 2020 smash song “Dynamite” by BTS explodes at No. 81 on the global chart, much ahead of the group’s brand-new song “Please” at No. 90.
BTS is currently dominating charts all around the world, as was previously reported. BTS, led by “Swim,” dominates both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl, and debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, their eighth top spot. U.S. charts as the reunited South Korean septet’s seventh No. 1 on each ranking, setting a new record.
The trio holds the top nine positions on the Global 200, tying Taylor Swift for the most titles from No. 1 on down as well as the most top 10s in a single week.
In the meantime, BTS’s seventh leader, ARIRANG, their first new studio album since 2020, shot to the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart in the United States. Additionally, the collection is at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart and the Official U.K. Albums Chart.
After its release on Friday, March 20, Spotify declared that ARIRANG had set a new record as the most streamed K-pop album in Spotify history and had been the platform’s most streamed album in a single day in 2026 to date.
With effect from January 16 (for the charts dated January 31), YouTube no longer provides streaming data to Billboard’s charts, including the U.S. and global charts.
