Drake’s ICEMAN remains at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated June 6) for a second consecutive week, generating 225,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the tracking week ending May 28, according to Luminate. The figure marks a 52% decline from the previous week.
The album debuted at No. 1 one week earlier alongside two additional Drake releases, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR, making him the first artist in the Billboard 200’s 70-year history to simultaneously occupy the top three positions on the chart. In their second week, the projects drop from No. 2 to No. 7 with 53,000 units earned (down 53%) and from No. 3 to No. 8 with 42,000 units (down 62%), respectively.
Also inside the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200, LE SSERAFIM earns its fifth top 10 entry as PUREFLOW launches at No. 10.
The Billboard 200 ranks the most popular albums each week in the U.S. through multi-metric consumption measured in equivalent album units and compiled by Luminate. These units include album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). One unit represents one album sale, 10 individual track sales from an album, or 2,500 ad-supported or 1,000 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.
Of the 225,000 equivalent album units earned by ICEMAN during the latest tracking period, SEA units account for 223,000 (down 50%, representing 228.45 million on-demand official streams of the album’s tracks), allowing it to spend a second week at No. 1 on the Top Streaming Albums chart. Album sales contribute 1,000 units (down 90%), while TEA units make up the remaining 1,000 (down 59%).
Among Drake’s 15 Billboard 200 chart-topping albums — tying Taylor Swift for the most No. 1s among solo artists — ICEMAN becomes his sixth release to spend multiple weeks atop the chart.
The remaining titles in the top five of the new Billboard 200 are all former chart leaders. Ella Langley’s Dandelion climbs from No. 5 to No. 2 with 93,000 equivalent album units earned (down 5%). Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide moves from No. 4 to No. 3 with 85,000 units (down 16%). Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem rises from No. 6 to No. 4 with 80,000 units (down 6%), while Michael Jackson’s Thriller advances from No. 7 to No. 5 with 64,000 units (up 3%).
Jackson’s Number Ones improves from No. 8 to No. 6 with 60,000 equivalent album units earned (down less than 1%), while BTS’ former No. 1 ARIRANG moves from No. 10 to No. 9 with slightly more than 41,000 units (down 1%).
LE SSERAFIM completes the top 10, securing its fifth top 10-charting release as PUREFLOW enters at No. 10 with 41,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that total, album sales account for 34,000 units, allowing the project to debut at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart. SEA units contribute 7,000, equivalent to 7.1 million on-demand official streams of the album’s songs, while TEA units make up the remainder. The album’s opening-week sales were supported by its release in more than 30 CD variants, many of which included collectible items such as photocards, stickers, and posters, with certain items distributed randomly.
