The ability to pin your favorite songs, albums, or playlists is one of the greatest new Apple Music features in iOS 26. Lastly, you may easily access your favorites by pinning them to the top of the library tab. How to pin music from Apple Music on iOS 26
It’s quite simple to pin your favorite Apple Music content after installing iOS 26. A playlist, an album, or a single song can all be pinned.
You should be able to pin the music as long as it has been uploaded to your Apple Music library. To pin a song, album, or playlist, simply tap and hold it and choose the Pin button. Depending on what you’re attempting to pin, the button will have the labels Pin Song, Pin Album, or Pin Playlist. All of these pins can be discovered in the Library tab of the Music app.
How to remove pinned items from Apple Music in iOS 26
You can only pin a maximum of six products at once on Apple, after which you will need to remove one in order to add another. It is also quite easy to remove a pin.
To delete a pinned item, select the Library tab in Apple Music, long touch the item, and then select Unpin. If you’d like, you can always pin it later.
Tapping a pinned item in Apple Music can be customized
With iOS 26, you have control over what happens when you tap a pinned item in Apple Music. Albums and playlists are opened but not played by the default option. Even when you tap and pin a song, the album it’s from is displayed by default, but the music itself isn’t played. By long pressing the pinned item, selecting Tap Action, and then selecting Play or Shuffle, you can change this. In this manner, Apple Music will start playing the pinned item as soon as you tap it.
Keep in mind that every pinned object has a different Tap Action. Every item in your pinned list will require manual setup.
Select if you want pinned tracks to be downloaded automatically
With iOS 26, music you’ve pinned to Apple Music can be downloaded automatically. If you have enabled Apple Music’s automatic downloads, this is activated by default. If not, however, this setting is readily toggled. In iOS 26, navigate to Settings > Apps > Music and then select the Downloads section.
