This weekend, are you looking for somewhere to eat in Chicago? The famous Grand Lux Café is currently open on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, but it won’t stay that way for long.
The restaurant, which was first established by The Cheesecake Factory, abruptly announced earlier this month that it would close its doors on December 24.
The restaurant released a statement saying, “We are working with our staff to help them transition to other opportunities in one of our nearby concepts.” “We have enjoyed being a part of the downtown Chicago community and hope that our guests will continue to dine with us at our other restaurants in the area.”
The restaurant’s website is still the place to make online reservations.
According to the company, its operating hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
The long-standing institution, which had been operating at 600 N. Michigan Ave. for more than 20 years, did not provide a reason for its imminent closure.
Along the city’s famous shopping strip, Grand Lux joins AT&T, Verizon, and Old Navy as companies that have lately closed.
