Now that the year has officially begun, there has never been a better moment to visit one of Chicago’s top attractions because outdoor activities are scarce owing to the cold weather.
For the next two months, Illinoisans will have many chances to take advantage of free admission to the famous aquarium. In January alone, there will be 13 days when admission is free for Illinoisans.
Furthermore, Illinoisans can visit Shedd Aquarium for free for 13 days in February, saving money while taking in the breathtaking lakefront landmark.
Residents of Illinois are entitled to free admission on the following dates in January; however, reservations must be made online in advance.

January 9–16
January 23–25
January 30-31
Additionally, Illinois residents can get free admission to Shedd Aquarium on the following February dates:

February 6–8
February 13–15
February 20–22
February 27–29

Shedd Aquarium is offering free admission to residents of Illinois on a number of other occasions in addition to free days.
Active-duty military personnel, EBT cardholders, Chicago police and fire personnel, and educators from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin are all eligible for free admission.
