But Eugene Campbell III an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and basketball player from New Jersey have proven that we can own a business, practice every day to perfect a sport, and still have enough time to think about our community and give back to it.
Especially after his recent performance, Eugene Campbell has truly outdone himself in terms of making jaw-dropping moves in his basketball game, and humble donations through his nonprofit organization “Walk a Mile N Our Shoes”. But before all this success, there was a dream, and only a lot of motivation fueled by the sheer desire to become successful.
Eugene Campbell and his contributions to his team mean a lot, especially after the first year of being a part of his club in Portugal. He was the first American to join the team who helped them reach the semifinals, and later in First Division. But Eugene Campbell was not just a good player after joining the team, he has always been a pro, maintaining a record of a 6-6 winning score, and 14 wins with only 5 defeats. His added efforts into the team almost got them the championship!
As a starter, he decided to play as a walk-on basketball team member in the Middlesex County College basketball team. After a great game, he has announced as the most improved player for NJCAA region 19. This accelerated his entire life, with only one decision made out of pure passion. He started receiving college offers, and with just two he knew it was time to make it to better places. By then he was already popular enough as a basketball player to come on playing in the New Jersey City University basketball team, ranking as the 14th out of 16th players of this season.
The journey was far from coming to an end we could say that it was just beginning as he was invited to TBL (The Basketball League). Contracts came in, and one of the first he signed was to play for BC Northland in Moldova. He had scored an average of 49 points in that game. His other achievements include 12 rebounds and 57 points in one of the best games he has ever played.
