The Chicago Bulls defeated the Charlotte Hornets 104-91 in the first game of their two-game home-and-home series, which will conclude in Charlotte on Monday. The Hornets finish their six-game west coast trip with a 1-5 record after the loss; their lone victory occurred Tuesday night in Sacramento.
Late in the third quarter, Chicago’s lead grew to double digits; however, the Hornets ended the quarter with an 11-4 run, bringing the final score to 74-69. In the first few minutes, Ayo Dosunmu and DeMar DeRozan led the charge with a 15-4 run to give the Bulls a slight lead. Before letting up in the closing minutes of the game, the Bulls led by as much as 21 points.
Miles Bridges is the night’s best.
With 28 points on 12/18 shooting, including 3/7 from beyond the arc, Bridges led the Hornets in scoring. He also contributed two assists and five rebounds.

The transition defense was the worst of the night.
Throughout the start of the season, Steve Clifford has voiced his displeasure with this team’s resistance to running the floor. There were many things that the Hornets could have done to stop their 25 fast break points tonight.

Almost all of the available players were used by Steve Clifford tonight, as he used eleven of them. A former first-round draft pick named James Bouknight was the only player who did not research the game.
