In Highland Park, Chicago, hosts include Smashing Pumpkins founder and Chicago music icon Billy Corgan, together with his spouse, fashion designer Chloe Mendel. Today’s hosts are Bridgeport’s Matt Rodrigues & Cortney Hall, NBC 5 News anchor Evrod Cassimy, and downtown Chicago’s Marley Sherwood, host of Country Music Television and a resident of the Chicago area.
Special musical performances for “A Very Chicago New Year” will also include indie rock star Mt. Joy, three-time Latin Billboard Music Award winner Ivan Cornejo, and a few songs by Billy Corgan & Friends.

The renowned LBGTQ+ party planners, Slo Mo, are hosting “The Pleasure Palace,” where NBC 5’s New Year’s Eve broadcast from the Ramova will take place.
Chicago’s downtown Host Marley Sherwood of Country Music Television (CMT) will be joining NBC Chicago weekend anchor Evrod Cassimy at the historic Palmer House Hilton in the heart of downtown Chicago. The popular reality show Love is Blind’s Chicago contestants are also expected to participate in the live on-site broadcast. Additionally, the yearly fireworks spectacle from Offshore at Navy Pier will be featured on NBC 5’s coverage of New Year’s Eve in downtown Chicago.
LANSING, IL – Comedian Correy Bell reports live from the south suburban Lansing location of The Rhoyal Bistro. Rhoyal Bistro, which just launched this year, is well-known for its delicious food and live music. A stalwart of Chicago humour, Bell has opened for stars including Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, and Mo’Nique.
