Bill Gates once said, “If you’re born poor, it’s not your mistake, but if you die poor, it’s your mistake.”
Amer Safaee was born in Daykundi, Afghanistan in 1980 with a poor background but with an ambition to make a mark in every field I step my feet into. Following my dream, I decided to get myself enrolled in a Bachelor of science in Information and Technology (IT). While I was still pursuing my bachelors, I started an IT company called “Bama Security” in Afghanistan which then expanded into 10 different countries like Tajikistan, Turkey, UAE, UK, Germany etc. and converted it from a small company to a group of companies called, “Bama Group”.
I firmly believe that for a successful business start-up you must have some in-depth knowledge of the relevant business and industry. Therefore, after finishing my Bachelors, I also did my Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
I also believe you must not be afraid of taking risks provided they are logical and well-thought.
Because the biggest risk is not taking a risk in a world that is changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.
I’m still unmarried, so that makes me a single and eligible bachelor.
I’m situated in Dubai, London and Istanbul.
My hobbies include; Travelling, horse riding, Fashion, Luxury Cars, Animals, Going out for a walk to help me relax after a long stressful day, browsing videos on social media.
I’m a foodie, I like Fine dining, healthy foods and occasionally some traditional food, which I would not recommend at all because it’s not healthy at all.
In Fashion, I like brands like DIOR and LV. I love fashion so much that I recently invested in a Beauty and fashion sector as well in a company by the name of “ZAZZ” which operates in 5 different countries.
Throughout my journey as a businessman, I came across a lot of hurdles like bad conditions in the middle-east market, but I took them as a challenge and always went for a problem solving and never gave up. I failed many times in my career, and that made me really depressed and sad at times as well, but I always managed to get back on my feet and moved on to my next challenge. It made me stronger.
I always believe in smart work rather than hard work.
One of my main reasons for success is taking risks in business. Never be afraid of taking risks. Also, while doing business, it never hurt or cause any damage to other people. Instead, Love and respect them, and God will add more fuel to your Successful engine.
I believe in;
- Creativity
- Investing in new ideas
- Implementing technology in business to maximize profits
And Lastly, You don’t need a million dollars for a start-up; you can run a successful business even without financial support. All you need to do is to have faith in you, decide and just start and everything will follow.
My next target is for 2025, which is to make my company a household name in 50 different countries.
