There are a few chances for snowflakes to fly in the area in the next few days, however it won’t be quite as much as what the Chicago area saw over the weekend.
In fact, Tuesday night may bring with it the first chance of snow. There is a chance that a weather system affecting the south of the country will move northward just enough to bring snow to several regions south of Interstate 80.
The National Weather Service states that even while significant snow accumulations aren’t expected, any snow that does fall could cause problems for drivers on local roads because to the chilly pavement temperatures.

Wednesday and Thursday are expected to bring slightly warmer temperatures to the area, but late Thursday is predicted to bring another chance of snow, though flurries won’t result in much accumulation.
There is another chance of snow on Friday. After that, temperatures are predicted to drop back into the single digits.
Thankfully, the current cold spell in the Chicago area isn’t going to be as bad or continue as long; by Monday, the temperature will have returned above freezing.
