The circumstances on June 7 at The Oval, according to Ravi Shastri, will determine the starting lineup for India in the ICC World Test Championship final.
Shastri has a track record of success at the venue having led India to victory during the fourth Test against England in the same year, a team he is familiar with having also coached the group up until late 2021.
Speaking to Sanjana Ganesan on The ICC Review in before of India’s match against Australia, Shastri dissected India’s selection decisions. This was done in preparation for the World Test Championship final.
With left-armer tweaker Axar Patel joining veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and top-ranked all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in the 15-player roster, India has three spin options.
