Well, there are so many speculations about the Talking Turkey with Kanthi show that it is going to be the last episode of the show. Well, it is shocking but because some recent uncomfortable revelations and unmasking of few in the public eye could lead Talking Turkey with Kanthi to discontinue the show. It may be momentary or permanent that has not been revealed so far.
However, an inside source has revealed that the news on Talking Turkey being discontinued is not true but the show could be taking a break as the channel is gearing up for 8 hours of Live programming of the World Cup on all the days.
What so ever, some may even feel that the main reason behind the discontinuation or the break of TT are the last three episodes, which have been quite investigative in nature and caused a huge level of discomfort for many in the sports world so far.
Firstly, the expose of BCCI’s 350 Cr scam. As, Talking Turkey investigated that BCCI is involved in internal feud, leading to litigations and crores were spent on legal expenses. Also, there is an ongoing clash among the three parties—BCCI, CoA and the state bodies and TT found out that a massive scam going on within the cricket bodies in the name of legal expenditure. Of course, the episode has created commotion internally in the BCCI.
Secondly, Talking Turkey with Kanthi exposed rampant age fraud in Indian sports. Close on the heels of the huge revelation made by Shahid Afridi about his actual age, it was investigaed on the Indian scenario. Here, again a lot of skeletons came out of the closet and nitpicking on a few offending parties led to lot of discomfort.
Lastly, when Power Sportz team did a sting on drugs and doping among the athletes in India and it was revealed via Talking Turkey with Kanthi that a lot of banned substances like anabolic steroid are easily available over-the-counter without a doctor’s prescription.
There is no concrete evidences on this, there can be just rumours that Talking Turkey could be discontinued. Or may be Talking Turkey could be pernicious for the existence of some, and a few of them might have initiated defamation suits against the show. So far the channel hasn’t received any document or intimation from the court.
Well, there are rumours that the show is going to be discontinued soon, however, Kanthi D Suresh, herself, in a casual conversation, mentioned that she needs a break as she has been unable to take in the past one year, and that she would like to focus on her well-being for a while, given a chance, and rejuvenate a bit.
Let see, whatever the truth maybe will soon come out! Whether it’s a break for rejuvenation for Kanthi D Suresh or world-cup fever that is going to be a reason for the temporary halt of the show. What so ever, the show will be missed by all of us for sure!
