After Karan Johar’s Dostana 2, Kartik Aaryan has reportedly been removed from the upcoming SRK Production called Goodbye Freddie; Read details
The news of Kartik Aaryan being removed from Karan Johar’s Dostana 2 created much stir due to the whole ‘outsider vs insider’ debate in the industry. It was not a long time ago when this news came, and now, another project has dropped Kartik from their film. The upcoming Shah Rukh Khan’ Red Chillies Production film Goodbye Freddie will no longer have Kartik Aaryan on board.
As per a report in a popular website, Kartik Aaryan has got into some creative differences with the director Ajay Behl and this is why he has opted out. “Yes, Kartik Aaryan was to feature in Ajay Bahl’s social comedy that was being produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies,” revealed the source. Adding, “However, the actor has now walked out of the project that was supposed to commence shooting in a few months. Apparently, creative differences developed between Kartik and the director Ajay Bahl due to which the actor decided on leaving the project. Kartik was not happy with the developed script as it was different from what was narrated to him as a one-liner plot.”
But looks like there’s another side of the story too. Another trade source revealed that it was Kartik who decided to opt-out because he didn’t want to do another thriller film.

He told the website, “Kartik Aaryan had signed on with Red Chillies over two years ago. Recently Kartik shot for Dhamaka during the pandemic which was a thriller. Post shooting for Dhamaka, Kartik informed Red Chillies that he felt that doing another thriller so quickly would not be apt for his career. He requested to opt out and his request was considered. The parting was amicable between Kartik and Red Chillies.”
The news has been making waves in terms of Kartik’s fans calling out the industry for the unjustified treatment. Others are blaming Kartik for closing his own chances of growing by frequently quitting films. Meanwhile, no official confirmation has been made yet by the makers.
