Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” tops the TikTok Billboard Top 50 chart for the second consecutive week. This comes after he swept the top four on the February 22 tally, and four of the top 10 on the March 1-dated survey.
Every week, the most popular songs on TikTok in the US are ranked in the TikTok Billboard Top 50, which is determined by user engagement, video views, and creations. Activity accumulated between February 17 and February 23 is shown in the most recent chart. Except for the TikTok Billboard Top 50, TikTok activity is not included in Billboard charts.
Users continue to share videos of “Not Like Us” after its performance on the Super Bowl Halftime Show (Feb. 9). The song is currently at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, with 39.2 million official U.S. streams, 20.7 million radio audience impressions, and 16,000 downloads in the week ending Feb. 20, according to Luminate. Reactions to the song’s part of the set and recreations of Kendrick Lamar’s opening stroll are among the many types of uploads.
Many of the videos even use the audio from the actual halftime show performance, in addition to the original sound. As of February 27, there were about 190,000 uploads that used the NFL’s sound.
Even though the other three Lamar-featured songs from the top-four dominance on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 on February 22 fall anywhere from one to four slots, they all stay in the top 10. Lamar’s song “Luther,” featuring SZA, drops 2-3, while “Peekaboo,” featuring AzChike, drops 3-7, and SZA’s song “30 for 30,” starring Lamar, moves 8-4.
However, Lamar is approached by a new challenger on the March 1 survey in Imogen Heap’s “Headlock,” which jumps 24-2. The song was first released as part of Heap’s 2005 album Speak for Yourself, but since the end of 2024, it has experienced a significant rebirth, primarily due to edits of snippets from the video game Mouthwashing, which the song is featured in. ZAPIE’s recent bass-shaking remix, which frequently has a dance trend to go along with it, has further enhanced the song.
“Headlock” is presently number eight on the Hot Alternative Songs list, where it has remained for eight consecutive weeks. In the tracking week that concluded on February 20, it received 6.87 million official U.S. streams.
In its 21st week on the list, BossMan Dlow’s “Shake Dat Ass (Twerk Song)” jumps 8-5, setting a new height on the TikTok Billboard Top 50. The song’s December release of a remix featuring GloRilla has elevated it to new heights since its June debut. Its trend focuses on GloRilla’s lip-synch, “I see you lookin’, you must like me or something” and “I see you starin’ at that ass, must wanna bite it or something.”
Kimya Dawson’s “You Love Me,” which reaches No. 10 in its 26th week on the survey, is the only other song outside “Headlock” to make it to the top 10 for the first time. That is the longest run to the top 10 in the history of the chart, taking 19 weeks longer than Aphex Twin’s QKThr.
The whistle-addled song, which first appeared on the chart in August (and was featured on Dawson’s 2004 album Hidden Vagenda), is frequently featured in uploads that depict friendship, relationships, or pet-related content.
The song “Nokia,” which debuted at number 10 on the March 1 Hot 100, is mostly promoted on TikTok by uploads that reference the “Who’s callin’ my phone (Who’s callin’ that s–t?)” beginning. Many users choose to set the song as their phone’s ringtone, while others choose to follow the dancing trend.
As TikTok and Billboard’s collaboration comes to an end, the March 1-dated TikTok Billboard Top 50 will be the last chart to be displayed on Billboard.com.
