Yasuhisa Hara’s Kingdom Vol. 80 takes the No. 1 position on the Billboard Japan Book Hot 100 issued Aug. 27, dominating both brick-and-mortar and e-book sales as the manga celebrates 20 years since its serialization began.
Released at the same time as the volume is Kingdom Magazine 2026, a commemorative magazine-style publication marking the anniversary and showcasing illustrations from Eiichiro Oda (ONE PIECE), Masashi Kishimoto (NARUTO), Yoshihiro Togashi (HUNTERxHUNTER) and others.
MAZZEL’s first photobook with ZEAL — commemorating the group’s third debut anniversary and photographed on location in Pattaya, Thailand — takes No. 2 while leading e-commerce (EC). Blue Lock Vol. 40, with its live-action movie adaptation currently playing in theaters, opens at No. 3 and places within the top 10 in brick-and-mortar, EC and e-book sales.
The late Keigo Higashino’s Eien no Kioku moves up from 6-4. Since its Aug. 5 release, the title has repeatedly sold out, prompting further print runs — which likely contributed to its brick-and-mortar ranking surging from outside the top 20 to No. 3. Yogisha X no Kenshin (The Devotion of Suspect X), another well-known title from the same Galileo series, posts gains across every metric and advances 37-16.
