The most popular songs on TikTok in the US are ranked weekly in the TikTok Billboard Top 50, which is determined by user engagement, video views, and creations. The most recent data shows the total amount of activity from January 27 to February 2. With the exception of the TikTok Billboard Top 50, TikTok activity is not included in Billboard charts.
On TikTok, “She Will,” which was first featured on Lil Wayne’s album Tha Carter IV in 2011, has become quite popular due to a dance craze in which creators do leg-shaking motions, frequently against some kind of wall.
Though the most popular version of the song then omits the vocals in favor of the synth-led instrumental, most usages focus on the “Ladies and gentlemen, Drizzy” lyric before the outro.
Both Drake’s 2023 single “IDGAF” with Yeat and last year’s Sexyy Red duet “U My Everything” peaked at No. 2 on the chart. “She Will” is Lil Wayne’s second top 10 single after Tyler, the Creator’s “Sticky,” which he co-produced with GloRilla and Sexyy Red, peaked at No. 9.
In September 2011, “She Will” made its debut and peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. According to Luminate, the song received 5.4 million official U.S. streams in the week ending January 30, a 30% increase, in the Billboard tracking week.
The TikTok Billboard Top 50’s top 10 this week isn’t all about Drake and Lil Wayne’s coronation. 5 Seconds of Summer’s “She Looks So Perfect” makes the week’s top debut at No. 3, while former No. 1 Stepz’s “Rock” bounces back 8-2.
The song “She Looks So Perfect,” which was 5 Seconds of Summer’s breakthrough hit and peaked at No. 24 on the Hot 100 in 2014, benefits from a TikTok trend where users reply to the hypothetical compliment “you’re so funny” by discussing the trauma that led to their behavior. In fact, Michael Clifford of 5 Seconds of Summer responded to the trend with a video captioned, “‘you’re so funny’ thanks our song is now the theme song for trauma bonding.”
The song recorded a 31% increase in streams to 1.4 million in the week ending January 30.
Blood Orange’s former No. 1 song “Champagne Coast” makes a 7-4 comeback to the top five, and 7dnight’s “Khong Sao Ca” soars 24-5 in its second week of release. Released in November 2024 and featured on the Vietnamese music competition show Rap Viet, “Khong Sao Ca” gains popularity through a dancing trend, with some of the best-performing clips also showcasing stuffed animals and dogs.
“Let’s Groove,” a classic by Earth, Wind & Fire, shoots 11-6, placing the group in their second top 10 since 2023’s “September.” As the song’s title and overall vibe imply, the majority of its rise consists of dancing videos, some of which showcase the dancer’s best movements while others follow a certain trend.
In the most recent tracking period, “Let’s Groove” amassed 2.3 million streams, a 17% increase, and peaked at No. 3 on the Hot 100 in 1981.
Fetty Wap’s “Again,” which debuted at No. 8 one week after his “Jimmy Choo” peaked at No. 9, is the other new entry into the top 10 of the TikTok Billboard Top 50. Numerous videos mention dancing, lip-syncing, and other activities while listening to the song on JBL speakers and playing it during TV and movie scenes.
“Again,” which peaked at number 33 on the Hot 100 in 2015, has had a 250% increase in streaming, reaching 4.8 million for the tracking week of January 24–30.
