Mujahid since he was a little kid had immense interest in poetry. Preserving his passion for poetry, he is today a renowned poet in the poetic society as a modern Urdu poet and a writer. His unique style of using the ‘love expressing’ genre of ghazal to honour all relations weather it’s a mother bonding, a friend or a beloved, which has made him very famous and has distinguished himself from other poets.
About his love for poetry, he says, “It amazes me how a person can express complex feelings with amazing combinations of rhymes.” He has till date written over 1200 couplets and over a 100 poems which have been published in several esteemed newspapers, websites and social media platforms. He has even showcased his talent on several private platforms. One such platform he remembers was when he performed for the popular Bollywood magazine ‘Filmfare ME’ for their event ME4 Cancer, an event for cancer survivors and awareness on October 19, 2019 in Radisson Blu, Deira, Dubai. It was attended by many prestigious personalities as well as cancer survivors whose hearts he hopes to have touched. Bollywood Queen Ms. Tahira Kashyap Khurrana, a cancer survivor was one of the guests present.
As a person, Mr. Mujahid is very sensitive and positive and that is quite evident in his writing styles. His poems are like broken ceilings and his words like the plaster that falls out and makes its way in the hearts of the people. He writes couplets inspired by people who have come into his life at some point or the other. He says that he writes poems to make people happy, to trigger their emotions and make them feel what he feels via words.
When asked about his motivation/mentor he said, “A mentor to me is someone who critically guides you through your life decisions and provokes endless learning from their life experiences and wisdom. The only person who meets my idea of a mentor is my mom. I have known her since birth and have always felt loved, guided and cared for by her.”
He is soon going to launch his very own book, which would be a collection of his couplets and poems. For now you can follow him on his social media to enjoy his poetry and couplets.
