With the release of his blockbuster film Kantara in 2022, the gifted Kannada actor-director Rishab Shetty gained acclaim on a global scale. The movie, which had a modest budget and was first only released in Kannada, received widespread acclaim from viewers very fast. The film was dubbed in all of the major Indian languages as a result of the excellent reviews, and it became one of the biggest hits of the previous year. The story of Kaadubettu Shiva and his father is told in Kantara against the backdrop of coastal Karnataka. Bhoota Kola is a type of local ritual dance. In the film, Rishab Shetty played both the lead character Shiva and his father. Key roles were played by Sapthami Gowda, Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, Prakash Tuminad, Naveen D Padil, and others. Kantara is bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur, under the banner Hombale Films. The project, which was originally released only in Kannada, was later dubbed into Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages.
