The 65th Grammy Awards were back in full motion on Sunday, kicking off a night of music filled with unexpected results, historic triumphs, tributes to artists like the late rapper Takeoff, and the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. Beyoncé was vying for the top prize once more.
This year was largely regarded as the Grammys’ opportunity to give the diva a prestigious prize, especially on a night where she had the potential to (and actually did) become the show’s most awarded performer.
“This is really, truly wonderful,” he stated as he accepted the prize. I’m so, very appreciative… It doesn’t often happen to individuals like me, but I’m just so — And this is just lovely. I appreciate it very much.
Beginning in Sweden in May, Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” tour will include stops in both Europe and the US.
