This new model of Fortuner will get many cosmetic upgrades compared to the old Fortuner. The 2.8-litre diesel engine in the Fortuner Epic generates 177hp of power. This car comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Talking about the look, it has a strip with ‘Epic’ branding in the front and a tow bar in the rear. The Fortuner Epic Black model has been introduced with a dual-tone paint scheme with black roof and roof rails. Also, 18-inch black alloy wheels and black side view mirrors are provided.
The interiors of these new models of Fortuner have been upgraded with ‘Epic’ branded carpets and metal scuff plates. The SUV gets all the latest features such as touchscreen infotainment system, smart entry, push start, TFT multi-information display, dual-zone climate control, reverse camera, cruise control, power back door and power-adjustable driver seat with smartphone connectivity and navigation.
Talking about the safety features, just like the regular model, the Fortuner’s Epic models also have all the necessary features like airbags, ABS, vehicle stability control, electric brake-force distribution, hill start assist, brake assist and traction control.
The Toyota Fortuner Epic model is currently introduced in the South Africa market. In India, the company is preparing to launch the facelift model of the regular Fortuner. The exterior and interior of the new Fortuner to be launched in the Indian market will see slight changes. It is expected that the engines will be given as regular Fortuner ones.
