With the trade deadline approaching, it’s unclear if All-Star guard Zach LaVine will pull on the Chicago Bulls uniform once more. He’s still the subject of trade talks. As it stands, he is still a member of the Bulls team. Head coach Billy Donovan recently gave an update on the two-guard’s condition, stating that he is expected to return in January.
Elevated burden
Donovan revealed that LaVine has been spending a lot of time running in a straight line and that he plans to soon advance to drills involving jumping and changing directions.

Due to a right foot ailment, LaVine was forced to miss play in late November. From then on, an inflammation of the foot has been diagnosed, requiring several weeks of rest and then therapy.
Consistent advancement
According to Donovan, it’s difficult to predict when the former UCLA standout will be able to resume playing in games until he starts doing different kinds of drills.
