Cloud streaming is a significant new feature that Sony is adding to the PlayStation Portal. When it originally came out, the device could only stream games from your PS5 via Wi-Fi. However, you will be able to stream a few PS5 games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog to your PlayStation Portal as part of a new system update that will be available later today.
To use the feature that Sony is introducing in beta, you must have a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription. According to Sony, a minimum 7 Mbps connection is needed to stream at 720p quality, while a minimum 13 Mbps connection is required for 1080p quality.
Beginning with cloud streaming to the PlayStation Portal, some PlayStation Plus features—such as Game Trials, party voice chat, game invites for specific titles, 3D audio, and “in-game commerce”—will not be accessible. Additionally, no PS4 or PS3 titles will be available for streaming. Additionally, cloud streaming will not be available on the Portal for child accounts.

A reduced minimum volume level and the option to adjust PlayStation Link device settings from your Portal’s settings are two further audio adjustments included in the latest PlayStation Portal version.
