The Pad 3, the first Android tablet with the Dimensity 8350, was just released by Oppo. This MediaTek SoC is essentially a somewhat better Dimensity 8300. Of course, the company says that this eight-core processor has the new gaming-focused StarSpeed Engine, which promises to increase scene transition speed by 24% and improve power efficiency by 10%.
The 2024 OnePlus Pad is the new name for this Oppo tablet. The essential specifications have not changed. This indicates that the new device from OnePlus weighs approximately 533 grams and is only 6.29 mm thick. It is travel-friendly because to its small and light form factor.
The 11.61-inch LCD screen on the front of the new OnePlus Pad has a wide DCI-P3 color coverage, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a rated peak brightness of 700 nits. Regarding the rear, the appearance is mostly unchanged from the previous generation model, including a circular camera island housing an 8 MP sensor.
The 2024 OnePlus Pad’s battery is yet another standout feature. It has a 9,520 mAh cell that can be charged at 67 watts (the 140-watt Anker 737 currently costs $106.48 on Amazon). According to the company, it enables the tablet to play videos for up to 16 hours when fully charged. Its operating system is ColorOS 15, which is based on Android 15, but the global version may use OxygenOS 15.
The new OnePlus Pad also boasts an 8 MP selfie camera, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and stylus support. In China, the tablet’s initial launch price is CNY 1,999, or around $273. Although the global launch has not yet been announced, it may happen soon, perhaps at the global launch event for the OnePlus 13 series.
