Billboard Vietnam, also known as Billboard Việt Nam, will officially launch its Vietnam edition on June 23, 2025, marking the brand’s 13th international iteration following the February 13 introduction of Billboard France earlier this year.
On Monday, June 23, the internationally recognized music authority Billboard conducted its official Billboard Vietnam Official Launch event at Bam Bam Bar in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, to mark its entry into the Vietnamese market.
A special celebration at Bam Bam Bar in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City marked the official debut of Billboard Vietnam. Several “strategic partners, prominent artists, industry professionals, and media representatives” attended the event, including Mike Van, CEO of Billboard Global. The launch of the brand in Vietnam “signals a significant step in ›connecting Vietnam’s fast-growing music market with global industry standards through verified data, insightful content, and internationally recognized music charts.”
The Vietnam Hot 100 and the Top Vietnamese Songs charts, which are supported by transparent data from global provider Luminate, were then introduced by Billboard Vietnam under the direction of Dinh Ba Khang and editor-in-chief Danh-Quy Nguyen. Furthermore, it seeks to “create local content and partner with artists, labels, and platforms to promote Vietnamese music at home and internationally.”
“Vietnamese music deserves a clear and respected place on the world map,” stated Mike Van during his remarks at the launch, underscoring Billboard’s “long-term commitment to supporting Vietnam’s music community and its aspirations for global recognition.”
Transparent music charts, global connectivity, and equitable opportunity for all artists are the three main pillars that will support Billboard Vietnam’s mission to become “a trusted foundation for Vietnamese music to reach new heights, grounded in its unique identity and creative potential.”
