OnePlus has stated that its OxygenOS 16 update, which is based on Android 16, will be available for a variety of devices beginning in November 2025 and lasting until the first quarter of 2026. While the OnePlus 15 will come with Android 16 preinstalled, the upgrade brings a revised interface, additional AI features, and support for the Apple Watch. The announcement, which detailed which devices will receive the update and the expected rollout schedule, was made through the company’s official forums.
Update schedule and eligible devices
Phased delivery of the upgrade is planned. The latest OnePlus models, including as the 13, 13R, 13s, Open, 12, 12R, and the OnePlus Pad 2 and Pad 3, will be included in the first wave, which is scheduled to arrive in November 2025. It is anticipated that older devices including the OnePlus 11 5G, 11R 5G, Nord 5, Nord CE5, Nord 4, and Nord 3 5G would get the update in December. Lastly, products such as the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G, Nord CE4, Nord CE4 Lite 5G, Pad, and Pad Lite will be upgraded between January and March 2026. This schedule is applicable to global devices, and timing may differ based on location.
Integrating AI and Plus Mind
Plus Mind, a technology that organises on-screen content into a central hub known as Mind Space, is introduced in OxygenOS 16. Users can use a three-finger swipe or a dedicated key to access it. The feature recommends calendar additions and pulls dates and other contextual information from event posters.
Long screenshots are also supported, and the Plus Key can be linked to features like launching the camera, activating the flashlight, beginning voice recordings, or switching between sound modes.
Context-Aware Assistance with Google Gemini
Additionally, Google Gemini—which makes context-aware suggestions based on content stored in Mind Space—is integrated into the upgrade. For example, Gemini generates recommendations for individuals who request home décor plans based on previously saved design content. For OnePlus users, this Plus Mind and Google Gemini combination seeks to increase workflow productivity and simplify device utilization.
