Samsung wants to make the Galaxy Ring more appealing than ever by adding more health tracking features and making sure it fits a wider range of users.
Two sizes larger than reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Ring last year the Ring now comes in sizes 5–15. Alongside the impending Galaxy S25 series the new sizes 14 and 15 will be available in all three colorways—silver, gold, and black—on January 22, 2025.
According to Samsung, it is now accessible in 16 new nations including South Africa, Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, Singapore, Slovakia, Cyprus, Czech, Greece, Hungary, Israel, and Zambia.
The mindfulness tracker, the first new software feature for the Galaxy Ring, will soon be accessible through the Samsung Health app. The app’s new mindfulness section displays a calendar with simple color-coded faces that condense the stress breathing and mood of each day. This should make it easier to more succinctly organize the data that Galaxy Ring already gathers.
In the first half of 2025 Samsung plans to introduce a new sleep environment report that will incorporate temperature humidity air quality and light intensity into your morning sleep report through SmartThings-connected devices. These can only be obtained if your Samsung SmartThings account is linked to a thermostat air quality monitor or light bulbs.
The Galaxy Ring will get another update in the second half of 2025 that will recommend the best time to go to bed and wake up based on a collection of sleep patterns habits and circumstances. Instead of ending the night after a Netflix binge, this new analysis should help users sleep better by putting them on a regular schedule.
Although this feature won’t be accessible for some time it has the advantage that it depends on existing data to feature properly. If nothing else by the time Samsung delivers it you’ll probably have a lot of sleep data for it to examine.
