At the Galaxy Unpacked July 2025 event, Samsung will make its seventh generation of foldable phones available to the world on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The South Korean electronics giant places a large wager on Galaxy AI, generative AI, to increase the productivity of these multitasking phones.
Samsung is anticipated to release three foldable phones: the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra, which is most likely a new member of the family.
With up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, the upcoming Galaxy foldable and flip phones are probably going to include an upgraded Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Samsung will also highlight its most recent skin, One UI 8, since these phones, which are based on Android 16, are probably going to operate on it after launch.
In order to emulate the camera capabilities of its Ultra series, a 200 MP main camera is also anticipated in the series. It’s also likely that the telephoto lens will not change. It is not anticipated that Samsung would make significant investments in these phones’ selfie cameras. But there is room for development in the inner front lens.
Being frugal with batteries, Samsung is anticipated to include a 5,000 mAh battery in the Fold 7 and a 4,700 mAh battery in the Flip 7.
As usual, the charger will not be in the box. Since the “Ultra” and “FE” versions will be new, we are unsure of their battery capacities.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 might have a 6.5-inch panel up front and a 7.9-inch display. Changes to the Flip 7’s display are unlikely.
Along with the foldable phones, Samsung may also introduce the smartwatches from the Galaxy 8 series. There are two possible versions: base and classic.
