Samsung is apparently preparing to launch its first Android 15 beta release tomorrow, December 5, following months of back and forth.
Months ago, Samsung was supposed to release its first beta of One UI 7, the company’s version of Android 15, but it has repeatedly been postponed. Although it was stated that the upgrade would be in beta before the year ended, time is definitely running out.
The wait appears to be over at last.
Reliable source Max Jambor says that Samsung intends to make the first One UI 7 beta available for the Galaxy S24 series tomorrow, December 5. The upgrade would provide the initial taste of Samsung’s Android 15 version; in the coming weeks, the beta is expected to be extended to further devices. If previous years are any guide, the program will be accessible in a few countries via the Samsung Members app. Germany will be one of the first-supported regions, according to Jambor, suggesting a broader initial beta release than is customary. The US and Korea are typically among the earliest, followed by Europe and other regions.
With some behind-the-scenes tweaks from Android 15 as well as significant visual overhauls to designs, animations, apps, and more, One UI 7 is anticipated to be a significant update on top of Samsung’s Android skin.
