Lionsgate Play on Tuesday announced that the second season of the relationship drama series ‘Minus One’ has begun production and will be released solely on its platform.
Created by Sidhanta Mathur and Shubham Yogi, the show highlights actors Aisha Ahmed and Ayush Mehra in the lead.
The story is a together even after their about a couple separation and how they manage the hardships of life, their careers, and their assumptions from one another.
In a press release, the streaming service said every one of the six episodes of the show’s first season, which became well known after it debuted on YouTube in 2019, will drop on the platform on August 19.
Rohit Jain, MD, South Asia and Networks – Emerging Markets Asia, Lionsgate, said ‘Minus One’ is a new idea that embodies different components of modern day love, making it an apparently interesting show.
“Lionsgate Play has consistently strived to make an incredible blend of premium content for its global and Indian crowds, and we are glad to add season 2 of ‘Minus One’ to the first library, and we trust that it impacts everybody,” he added.
Mrinalini Khanna, VP, Originals, Lionsgate Play, said the show investigates the themes of love and relationships which are ‘so different for GenZ’.
